Duramax Silicone Coolant Hose Kits: Which One Fits Your Truck?
Table Of Contents
For Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500/3500 pickups, the right Duramax coolant hose kit starts with your truck’s model year and engine. Mammoth’s coolant-only options cover 2001–2005 LB7 and LLY trucks, 2006–2010 LBZ and LMM trucks, and 2011–2016 LML trucks. Combination kits add charge-air parts, but their fitment and contents vary by generation.
Use the chart below to narrow your search, then open the product listing and check its contents against the job you are doing. If you have a 2006 LLY, a modified truck or a specific hose you need to replace, contact Mammoth before ordering.
Find your Duramax coolant hose kit
| Truck and engine | Coolant hose option | Combination option |
|---|---|---|
| 2001 LB7 | 2001–2005 coolant kit | Contact us before choosing a combination kit |
| 2002–2004 LB7 | 2001–2005 coolant kit | 2002–2004 LB7 combination kit |
| 2004.5–2005 LLY | 2001–2005 coolant kit | 2004.5–2005 LLY combination kit |
| 2006–2010 LBZ and LMM | 2006–2010 coolant kit | 2006–2010 combination kit |
| 2011–2016 LML | 2011–2016 coolant kit | 2011–2016 combination kit |
The LB7 combination kit is listed for 2002–2004, not 2001. A coolant-only kit covering your truck does not automatically make a combination kit a fit. The 2006–2010 listings here are for LBZ and LMM applications; a 2006 LLY needs a fitment check before purchase.
Check the engine as well as the year
Model-year changeovers matter when you shop for Duramax parts. Before choosing a kit, confirm your engine designation rather than relying only on the truck’s registration year. Also compare the listed application with any changes already made to the cooling or charge-air system. An engine swap or aftermarket piping can change what you need, even when the model year matches.
Choose coolant hoses or a combination kit
A coolant hose kit is the starting point when your shopping list is focused on coolant hoses and their clamps. A combination kit makes sense when you also need the charge-air parts included in that particular package. Read the contents rather than treating “combination kit” as one standard parts list across every Duramax generation.
Coolant hoses carry coolant. Intercooler boots connect sections of charge-air piping. The names can appear together in a kit title because a package includes parts for both systems. When you compare options, separate the coolant work you need from any boot or pipe work you plan to do.
2001 through 2005 LB7 and LLY
The 2001–2005 coolant hose kit is the coolant-only option for the listed LB7 and LLY applications. It includes upper and lower silicone radiator hoses with T-bolt clamps. If coolant hoses are your only planned replacement, start there and compare the listed contents with the hoses on your truck.
For a larger job, the 2002–2004 LB7 combination kit also includes charge-air pipes and boots. Keep its 2002–2004 fitment separate from the broader coolant-only listing. For a 2001 truck, ask us to confirm the right combination before you order.
The 2004.5–2005 LLY combination kit includes four intercooler boots, eight T-bolt clamps, and upper and lower coolant hoses with their clamps. That gives you a specific parts list to compare with your repair. If the charge-air side is your main concern, our LLY intercooler boot guide can help you review that option.
2006 through 2010 LBZ and LMM
Choose the 2006–2010 coolant hose kit for the listed LBZ and LMM applications, or review the 2006–2010 combination kit when you also want the included intercooler components. The coolant kit includes coolant hoses and stainless clamps. Check the product listing for the exact package you are considering instead of carrying over a hose or clamp count from an earlier generation.
Have a 2006 LLY? Contact Mammoth first. Do not assume the LBZ and LMM listing covers your engine just because 2006 appears in the year range.
2011 through 2016 LML
The 2011–2016 coolant hose kit is the coolant-only option for the listed LML applications and includes coolant hoses and stainless clamps. The 2011–2016 combination kit also includes a pipe-and-boot kit with hot-side and cold-side pipes. If you are comparing packages for an LML, account for those pipes rather than comparing only hose and boot quantities.
Before you place your order
Start with the parts you actually need to replace. Match your model year and engine, open the selected product page, and review its contents. If you are unsure which hose you are looking at, send us your truck details and a clear photo through the contact page. Include any relevant modifications so we can help you check the application.
Does a coolant kit replace every cooling hose?
Do not assume that a coolant hose kit replaces every hose in the cooling system. Coverage follows the contents of the particular kit. If you need a heater hose, turbo coolant line or another specific hose, check that it is listed or ask us before ordering. A broad product name is not a substitute for confirming the part you need.
What about a 2017 or newer L5P?
There is currently no L5P coolant hose kit listed in Mammoth’s catalog. We do have a separate 2017–2019 L5P intercooler boot guide, but those boots are charge-air parts, not a coolant hose kit. That 2017–2019 coverage should not be extended to a 2020 or newer truck. Contact us if you need help identifying the right option for your L5P.
Silicone hoses and installation planning
If you are deciding between hose materials, read our silicone radiator hose versus rubber hose guide. Then return to the year-specific listing to choose the correct application. Material choice does not replace a fitment check, and a hose upgrade should not be treated as a diagnosis for an unexplained coolant loss or overheating problem.
Let the engine cool completely before opening the cooling system or removing hoses. Plan the repair around the instructions for your truck and the parts supplied. Use the specified installation procedure, clamp guidance, coolant and refill method. If you are not comfortable with the work, have a qualified shop handle it. Confirming the package before disassembly is easier than discovering a needed hose is not included after the truck is apart.
Shipping and warranty
Orders placed before 12 PM Eastern on weekdays usually ship the same day. Orders placed on weekends or federal holidays ship the following business day.
